Minnesota American Legion Baseball Division II State Tournament

The Division II Minnesota American Legion Baseball Tournament opens Friday hosted by Sacred Heart, Mn.  Games are being played in Ely.

The Cannon Falls Legion team made it to the final Elmination Bracket game before losing a heartbreaking extra inning game to Watertown 13-11.  It was a 9 inning game.  They are 7 inning contests.

Watertown then defeated Sibley East 6-2 in the East Central Sub-State Tournament hosted by Arlington and Green Isle.

Sunday, July 25, 2021 Holy Family punched their ticket to state defeating Watertown 10-4.

Brackets are out for the State Division II Tournament.

Friday, July 30, 2021 Luverne is the home team against Wadena at 9:30 a.m.  At Noon Atwater is home team versus Minnewaska.

4:00 p.m. Holy Family is home against Roseau.  LaCrescent gets to be home against the host team Sacred Heart/MACCRAY at 6:30 p.m.

Elimination Bracket games are 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Winner's Bracket games are 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021.

According to the bracket there is a Consolation Champion, Third Place game in addition to the State Division II Championship.

The Minnesota Division II Champion goes to the Central Plains Regional Tournament August 6, 2021 through August 8, 2021 in Waupun, Wisconsin.

Other teams at the Central Plains Regional will be the Wisconsin Champion and Host team.  Champions from Kansas, Nevada, North Dakota.

These have sure changed since I was a kid.
