There are plenty of lame scams going around these days, but this one might be the creepiest. There's a new type of scam going on across the country involving a hacker e-mailing you with one of your real passwords in the subject line. That's freaky on its own, but that's meant to lure you in before they pull off the real threat:

If you don't pay up, they're going to send hacked webcam footage of you watching adult videos to your entire contact list.

*breathes into paper bag five times*

...Luckily, this is most likely a lie, and officials say if you ever do get one of these e-mails, the best thing to do is just ignore it. They likely got your password through the dark web; you can check to see if you've been compromised by going here.

But hey, it's not like you have anything to worry about!
