Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A trial date has been set in the case of a former Kasson Police Officer facing sex abuse charges.

52-year-old Julio Baez today waived his right to an evidentiary hearing and entered not guilty pleas to six counts of first and second-degree criminal sexual conduct in both Olmsted and Dodge counties. He previously pleaded not guilty to 21 criminal sexual conduct charges in Rice County involving the same victims.

The allegations against Baez came to light after an unsuccessful suicide attempt earlier this year.

He is currently scheduled to stand trial in Rice County on January 14th, while his trial on the charges filed in Olmsted and Dodge counties is scheduled in mid-April.
