Fort Snelling State Park, one of Minnesota's most popular state parks, is essentially closed right now because of flooding.

In the Minnesota DNR website, it says that "most trails are inaccessible and closed due to flooding." The Park Office and Visitors Center are closed to prepare for flooding and all events have been canceled until mid-April.

They also have announced that "the main park road has been closed just beyond the main office parking lot, Picnic Island has been closed due to flooding, [and] Pike Island is closed due to flooding." Also, all water access docks are closed indefinitely.

Obviously, flooding is a major issue this year. in St. Cloud this weekend, over 40 people had to be rescued from a flooded restaurant. You can read that story HERE.
