Each week I’ll share a picture and a little bit about a pet that is available for adoption and waiting to find a good home. If you’re thinking of adding a pet to your home, pet adoption can be a very rewarding way to do so. Check out this week’s Pet of the Week and then check back next week to see a new furry friend looking for a fur-ever home.

Meet Thor, a 2-year-old purebred husky. He weighs about 52 pounds and is still a little thin. He is friendly, making faces and many noises, which is typical of huskies. He is great at playing with other dogs, but doesn't like cats. His dream home has a fenced yard.

Thor is neutered and is current on his vaccinations. He is crate and house trained. If you’re interested in learning more about Thor, or about another pet available for adoption, visit pawsfirst.petfinder.com or facebook.com/pawsfirstrescue.

Paws First Rescue is a 501(c3) foster-based rescue group.
