Podge Was Found During A Polar Vortex, And Now Is Looking For A Home
Podge the cat was found during the 2015 polar vortex that gripped the midwest with bone-chilling temperatures. We thought it was cold and we had hats, gloves, jackets, and warm boots, Podge was just a cat out in the elements with the desire to survive. Now is your opportunity to adopt Podge, and to make sure he has that safe place to call home.
Our friend Michaela Tews has more on Podge's background and what you'll need to know if you are interested in him for adoption.
Podge was found outside of a trucking company seeking shelter from the extreme cold in 2015. He is around 5 years old and a little shy until he gets to know you. Once he does he is one cool cat.
It sounds like Podge is alright with other cats and children in the home. If you are looking to open up your home to an animal this summer, Podge might just be the right fit for you and your family.
Remember that to adopt Podge or any of his Mower County Humane Society friends you first need to fill out an application, you can find those here, and then have that application approved before you head on down to the Humane Society.

Michaela also has recently posted about this adorable and available young pup named Ducky, ain't she cute?
Michaela says that "Ducky will need some basic training as she is still a youngster. She is very eager to please people. We think she would do best in a home with older kids, maybe 5 and up. Ducky loves to play! She will prance around proudly with a favorite toy. We do think she could do well with male dogs with slow introductions. She really is a happy little character!"
