The CDC has issued a warning about raw, frozen tuna due to a salmonella outbreak. The tune is Jensen Tuna and the recall is voluntary. It affects their frozen ground tuna imported form JK Fish of Vietnam.

This recall affects Minnesota, Iowa, Connecticut, Illinois, New York, North Dakota, and Washington. The CDC says that 13 people have been infected because of this tuna. Two of those people have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.

The CDC says that the raw, ground frozen tuna affected "were individually packaged in one-pound bags and sold in 20-pound boxes under lot numbers z266, z271, and z272."

If you think you might have a bag of this tuna that's been affected by the recall, don't eat it! It's also important that if you go to a restaurant and order sushi with raw tuna, including "spicy tuna" to ask the restaurant if the tuna was distributed by Jensen Tuna.

You can get more details about the recall on the CDC website and the FDA website.
