Rice County Steam and Gas Engine Show

The 45th Annual Rice County Steam and Gas Engine Show is this weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday. The Showgrounds are located just 3 miles south of Northfield right on Highway 3. The gates are open each day from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. It is hard to believe this club and show got started with a couple of farmers setting up a threshing demonstration for their neighbors decades ago! The theme of the club is "Preserving a Bit of Yesterday for Tomorrow."

There will be a special emphasis on Live Music at the show this year for all 3 days. There has always been a non-denominational church service Sunday morning and new this year a catholic mass Saturday evening. There will be all the normal activities, threshing, plowing with horses and classic tractors, steam and gas engines, classic cars, trucks and tractors, food concessions, Flea Market and all kinds of hands-on activities for the kids.
