River Bend Nature Center Seeks Rain Garden Volunteers

River Bend Nature Center is looking for new people to join its Rain Garden Care Crew. The group will meet Tuesday, August 9, from 4-5PM to perform maintenance on River Bend’s rain garden.

Crew members can expect to learn about native plants, remove invasive plants and acquire a general understanding of rain gardens, according to a press release. The Rain Garden Care Crew will meet monthly during the growing season on the second Tuesday of the month.

Participation in the Rain Garden Care Crew is free; students may participate to earn volunteer hours. No preregistration is needed. All ages are welcome, but children should be accompanied by an adult.
