Road Construction Will Make For Delays In SE Minnesota
Drivers in Goodhue, Olmsted, Winona, and Mower counties will be seeing single lane traffic and possible delays beginning on Monday, April 30. That is when MnDOT begins pavement work and repair on area roads. Some of those projects that could affect your travel plans are:
- Highway 56 between West Concord and Randolph
- Highway 52 between Highway 60 and Goodhue County Road 7 through Zumbrota
- Highway 52 near Pine Island
- Highway 14 between Chester and St. Charles
If the road is a single lane highway flaggers will be out to control traffic in both directions of travel. If the road is a two-lane road, watch for lane closure signs and utilize the zipper merge.
Be sure to stay attentive on the road and more in construction zones. As always check the roads before you head out with 511mn.org or calling 511.
