St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester woman who was arrested by FBI agents at her home this morning was arraigned at the federal courthouse in St. Paul this afternoon on a half-dozen federal charges connected to the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

39-year-old Victoria Charity White is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, violent and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building, impeding or attempting to impede law enforcement officers performing official duties, and obstruction of justice/Congress.

Court documents indicate White was arrested at the Capitol during the rioting but was released without charges pending further investigation. An affidavit from an FBI agent says an anonymous tip alerted investigators to a Facebook page that contained posts and photos purportedly posted by White that implicated her in the riot.

Investigators also obtained other evidence on social media that shows a person alleged to be White participating in the storming of a Capitol entrance, where police officers in riot gear were being assaulted as they worked to block the mob from entering. The charges allege she helped hoist a rioter, who made his way to the entrance and assaulted officers trying to hold back the crowd. It is also alleged she can be seen cheering with a fist raised as rioters forced a large flagpole into the entryway.

Security video evidence also shows a woman believed to be White eventually making her way to the front of the crowd, where it appears she is trying to grab one of the officers and is pushed back and struck with a baton. Moments later she was detained and can be seen with her hand zip-tied behind her back being led into the Capitol building.

Another video, posted on YouTube, appears to show White arguing with another group of rioters who were attempting to smash the glass over an entrance to the Capitol building. It also appears she tries to physically pull them away from the glass.

She is the second Minnesotan to be charged with participating in the rioting. A 31-year-old Moorhead was previously charged with trespassing based on evidence found on social media.
