Southern Minnesota Man to be Laid to Rest in Most Unique Casket
I still remember my favorite bus driver. He played the best music, called all the kids by name (how you remember that many kids is beyond me), and he always had a smile on his face. He made going to school on a bus fun! It sounds like "Glennie" as the kids called him, was that bus driver for so many kids. He drove the Grand Meadow students back and forth from school for 55 years, so it's only fitting that he be laid to rest in a school bus casket.
Glen Davis passed at the age of 88 on Saturday, February 15th. And thanks to Hindt Funeral Home, he will be laid to rest in a custom school bus casket. "The idea of the casket started out as a joke, but Glen quickly grew to love it, showing anyone he met pictures of the work of art." -Hindt.
A mass for Glen will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 21st at St. Finbarr’s Catholic Cemetery.
