The Rice County Fair Is Looking For Volunteers To Help In 2022

April isn't even over and people across Rice County are already looking ahead to the third week in July! The Rice County Fair, July 20-24, is looking for volunteers before, during, and after the fair. If you are willing to lend a hand, the fair will put those hands to good use!

We are starting to look for volunteers and today we are looking for help with the Grandstand Events. You would either help sell the tickets or take tickets at the gate entrance. Times would be early evening about 1 hour 1/2 before the event starts on that day. We have events in the grandstand each night of the fair. Some of the volunteer roles are for ticket taking or ticket selling for all of the Grandstand Events. The grandstand will be a busy place this year as there is a scheduled event each night, so these volunteers would play a HUGE part in the success of the Rice County Fair!

As far as what events will be in the Grandstand this year:

Wednesday - Enduro Auto Racing starting at 6pm
Thursday - Midwest All-Star Wrestling - 6:30pm
Friday - Barnes PCA Rodeo - 7pm
Saturday - UPM Truck and Tractor Pull - 7pm
Sunday - Demo Derby - 4pm

There are some other activities that will be taking place across the Rice County Fairgrounds during the fair as well, including a strong man coming to the fair this year, who will be bending steel and pulling trucks with his sheer strength!

We will share with you more details and what to expect at this year's Rice County Fair, a little bit closer to July, but we are already excited and hope to see you out at the fair, attending as a volunteer, or as someone taking in the sights, sounds, and smells, or both.
