Two Montgomery Men Involved in Rice County Crash

The Rice County Sheriff's Department reported a two vehicle crash at the intersection of 100th Street West and Jasper Trail in rural Rice County.  The call was received at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.  Upon arrival deputies determined a pickup operated by Steven Oestreich, 56, of Montgomery travelling west on 100th Street West had been struck by a pickup operated by Corey Kotek, 42 , of Montgomery going north on Jasper Trail.  There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Oestreich was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by North Memorial Air Care from the scene.  Kotek was not injured and the Rice County Sheriff's Office says he was cited for a traffic violation at the scene.  Both drivers were wearing their seat belts according to authorities.  Assisting at the scene were Lonsdale Fire and Rescue, Montgomery Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care.
