Woman Arrested In Faribault For DWI After “Ramming” A Man’s Truck With Her Car
Last Sunday a 28-year-old woman was arrested for DWI and 1st-degree damage to property after getting in an argument with a man and then ramming his truck with her vehicle. Faribault's Police were called, and cell phone video of the damage was then shown to officers after the female denied hitting the truck with her car.
According to the Faribault Police Department's The Point After on Sunday, February 20th, 28-year-old Justine Hansen was arrested after Faribault POlice were called about a woman ramming a truck.
As police arrived at the call for service, one officer noticed the suspected vehicle and stopped it. The car's driver was identified as Justine Hansen, 28. Police at the scene noticed debris in the roadway consistent with what would come from a car accident. Hansen denied to officers that she hit the truck, that her car was "damaged previously."
According to The Point After "Hansen displayed signs of intoxication." After field sobriety tests were administered to Hansen she was taken into custody for allegedly being under the influence. At the jail, Hansen submitted to a breath test which reported a .12 BAC.
Faribault Police indicated in The Point After that "in a post-Miranda statement, Hansen stated she had been arguing with her boyfriend and was trying to leave after he assaulted her, and continued to deny hitting the truck."
Hansen was charged with 1st-degree Damage to Property and 2nd-degree DWI.
