Friday night was the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota's Bowl for Kids' Sake at J & J Bowling Center in Faribault. I arrived a little after 4PM and the place was a beehive of activity as the members of Big Brothers Big Sisters were getting the place ready for a night of bowling fun. The Power 96 team arrived and we started bowling a little after 5PM. This year's team was once again John Anderson, Kelly K-Rage, Tamara Gruhot (our digital managing editor) and me. I started out strong and dominated the first half but I sort of collapsed in the last half and ended up coming in third. I did manage to break 100, which was my main goal. John won the game but Kelly was the big winner when it came to the most stylish pair of bowling shoes (see pictures below).

It was great seeing all the teams participating this year. Everyone was having a great time bowling, eating, enjoying the face painting and winning prizes. If you weren't able to make it out to the event in Faribault, please considered joining the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota at the Bowl for Kids' Sake, 8AM to 2PM, today (Saturday, April 16) at Sparetime Entertainment in Owatonna. It's for a great cause and you'll have a good time while you're doing it.
