Literally seconds after posting the information from a news release by the Rice County Sheriff's Department I was informed of the little girl being found.

The Kenyon Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page said she was found and "her condition is unknown at this time."

Since then Facebook has had several posts mentioning she is okay.

Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn says deputies were dispatched Tuesday about 6:55 p.m. to a farm south of Nerstrand on the report of a missing child.

Upon arrival they learned 4 year old Sawyer Hanson was last seen in the yard about 6:25 p.m. that borders a corn field.

A request for assistance drew the response of six Fire/Rescue Departments, Kenyon, Nerstrand, Wanamingo, Faribault, Northfield and Medford.

Law enforcement personnel from the Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Goodhue County and Dakota County Sheriff's Departments, Faribaullt, Kenyon and Northfield Police Departments also have aided in the search.

Sheriff Dunn adds the air resources of the Minnesota State Patrol and Dakota County Sheriff's Office were called in to assist.

Speculation was the young boy went into the corn field and that's where the search was centered.

Sheriff Dunn tells us an update will be delivered at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday.

If the Sheriff can join us we will try to have him live during our 7:05 a.m. report on KDHL.
