Do Not Try This After A Night At The Bar

It's a given that you shouldn’t drive drunk. That goes for skateboarding as well.

This guy apparently had few too many before he decided to try and head home from the bar on his skateboard.

As you can see, it doesn’t go well. He ends up falling off the board, which then rolls away on its own into the busy roadway, where it's promptly run over by a passing SUV. A very costly mistake because the price of a decent board, trucks and wheels is not cheap.

But at least it didn't cost him his life or a fine; this guy should be pretty happy that he wasn’t on the skateboard and glad that the cops weren't cruising by. It would be very embarrassing to get ticketed for skateboarding while intoxicated. Not that it probably hasn't happened to a few people over the years.

Unfortunately, I have been a witness to something very similar involving a late night at a local bar, a drunk on a bike crossing Fourth Street, a curb and that same drunk taking a header into the sidewalk. It looked painful just watching him, and it was one of those moments where you could see exactly what was going to happen before it even happened. It was just inevitable. How he didn't get hit by any passing cars is beyond me.
