Faribault Falcon junior Megan Gehrke finished 7th in the Shot Put to earn All-State status during the Minnesota High School League State Meet Saturday.

Gehrke told KDHL it wasn't the best mark she's ever hit but standing on the podium and earning All-State will give her incentive for a better finish next season.

Gehrke tossed the 8 pound ball 40 feet 10 inches and had she matched her seed mark she would have been 5th at state.

Senior Alexandria Hurst of Robbinsdale Armstrong won the competition with a toss of 45 feet 4 and 3/4 inches.

Senior Madeline Moorhouse of Lakeville North was second with a throw of 45 feet 3 and 3/4 inches.

Austin senior Amber Hansen was 5th with a 41 feet 10.5 mark.

Gehrke was 10th in the Discus just missing the podium and picking up a point for her team Friday.

Senior Amanda Anderson of St. Francis won with a throw of 154 feet 7 inches and Gehrke threw the discus 117 feet 4 inches well under her 131 feet 2 inch seed.  Had she matched that she would have finished third at the meet.

St. Michael Albertville was the team champion with 54 points, Farmington second with 48 points.  Lakeville North was 12th and Lakeville South 25th, Rochester Century 23rd and Northfield 32nd in the standings.

Here are the remainder of the results from area athletes in the girls Class 2A competition.

High Jump

Senior Jenny Mosser of Lakeville South was second behind 8th grader Nyalaam Jok of Osseo.  Jok cleared 5 feet 8 inches and Mosser 5 feet 7 inches.

Junior Aliyah Dawkins and her senior teammate Erica Benson of Mankato West finished 4th and 5th.

Sophomore Mykel Parham of Apple Valley was 7th.

4x800 Meter Relay

Edina was champion.

Lakeville North- Danielle Bellino (11), Sofia Earle (12). Emma Drangstveit (12), Isabella Larson (9) earned All-State finishing 4th.

Lakeville South- Patty Jo English (11), Rachel Emerson (11), Cassandra Jenny (9), Taylor Sorenson (12) is also All-State at 7th.

4x400 Meter Relay

Northfield was second behind Bloomington Jefferson by just a couple seconds.  The relay consisted of Elizabeth Acheson (10), Kathrerine Brust (11), Haley Mackenthun (11) and Emma Rezac (12).

4x200 Meter Relay

Owatonna earned All-State honors while finishing 6th.  Their team consisted of Sara Anderson (9), Sydney Schultz (11), Karissa Gregory (12) and Margo Achterkirch (11).

North St. Paul was the champion.

4x100 Meter Relay

North St. Paul captured first in this also.

Lakeville South was 8th.  The relay team included Sydney Klausler (11), Kyah Orr (11), Lillian Terry-Ohland (12) and Makenna Johnson (9)

100 Hurdles

Junior Shae Buchman of Rosemount won the event.  Sophomore Myiah Scott of Farmington was 9th.

300 Hurdles

Eagan junior Natalie Windels is champion.

100 Meter Dash

Senior Anna Keefer of St. Michael Albertville was first and Farmington senior Emma Record 6th.

Sophomore Kinga Mozes of Rochester Century was 8th.

200 Meter Dash

Senior Anna Keefer of St. Michael Albertville won the event.

Rochester Century teammates sophomore Kinga Mozes and senior Katherine Eidem were 7th and 8th respectively.

400 Meter Dash

Bloomington Kennedy senior Honour Finley wa the winner andd Rochester Century senior Katherine Eidem was just a little over a second behind in second place.

800 Meter Dash

Junior Danielle Bellino of Lakeville North was 3rd, Waseca freshman Lexi Herman finished 7th and Owatonna sophomore Syd Kretlow took the podium for Owatonna while finishing 9th.

1600 Meter Run

Eighth grader Anna Fenske of Farmington beat a junior from Edina by a smidgen over three tenths of a second.

Her sophomore teammate Lauren Peterson was 4th.

3200 Meter Run

Farmington sophomore Lauren Peterson wins championship by guess what, just over three tenths of a second over a sophomore from Minneapolis Washburn.

Eighth grader Anna Fenske was 3rd.

Pole Vault

Mounds View sophomore Julia Fixen clears 11 feet 6 inches for championship.

Junior Sydney Marsh of Austin finished 5th.  Sophomore Alexys Berger of Rosemount was 6th and sophomore Karissa Ricks of Northfield earned All-State honors while finishing 8th.

Triple Jump

East Ridge Junior Allyson Weiss was the champion with a mark of 40 feet 1 and 1/4 inches.

Farmington senior Amanda Davenport was 5th.

Long Jump

Senior Anna Keefer of St. Michael Albertville wins with leap of 18 feet 10.5 inches.

Junior Shea Buchman of Rosemount was second and sophomore Kinga Mozes of Rochester Century 5th.
