I'm a huge fan of post-apocalyptic books & movies and I finally had some time to sit down & watch a movie called "The Road" which came out back in 2009. I had heard it was a very bleak movie and so I was a little hesitant to watch it (I read enough horror stories in the news each day). Without giving away anything I will say that I enjoyed this movie because, even though mankind has sunk to it's lowest level, the two main characters (a man & his son) still hold onto to some kernel of hope that helps them maintain their humanity & push on through each day. Even though this movie has some very tense moments, it's definitely not an action movie but a very good story based on a book, by the same title, written by Cormac McCarthy.
