I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced a problem with squirrels chewing through their plastic gas cans to get at the sweet nectar of gasoline inside. My father-in-law has an old wooden shed that the squirrels have managed to get in (at least it appears to squirrels, maybe it's chipmunks, I'm not sure), and besides the gas cans, they've been chewing through the primer bulbs & gas tank covers on my snowblower & mower that I have stored there. I'm not sure if they're drinking it or huffing it but they really seem to enjoy it. I think it might be the ethanol gas, maybe they can smell the distilled corn. Has this ever happened to you?
