If you listen to the Power 96 Morning Show, you know that I like to eat and talk about food. My wife loves to cook and we also like to try different places to eat, but my favorite thing to do is grill out on our deck. The other day Floyd and Carol Baynes stopped by to grill up some pork chops, salmon and mushrooms on one of the Dakota Grills that Floyd has available at Floyd's Trailer Sales on Seventh Street in Faribault.

I was definitely impressed with how solidly this grill is built. It's fully insulated to keep the heat inside, which really helps to evenly cook whatever you decide to place inside. Its simple, basic design makes it very easy to use and clean. As I stated before, Floyd brought some thick butterfly chops, a salmon filet and mushrooms. He used a variety of seasonings to help flavor the meats and, because each of the Dakota Grills is also a smoker, he added some hickory chips into the tray by the rear heating element to give each item a delicious hickory flavor.

Our meal was exceptional and the pork chops, which are usually dry on a charcoal or gas grill, were moist and flavorful. The salmon, which I usually don't care for, was equally delectable and I ended up eating quite a bit of it.

When Floyd and Carol left, they also left the Dakota Grill behind for me to try out. So over the next few weeks I'll be grilling up different meats and goodies and telling you more about these wonderfully easy grills to use.
