New Location for March of Dimes March for Babies

For the past eight years I've been I've been involved with the March of Dimes March for Babies. When I first started working with this group, the event was called WalkAmerica and was being held at the Beer Garden at the Rice County Fairgrounds. It was a nice facility, but the building tended to to be a little cold and damp early in the spring. The March of Dimes then moved the event to the Faribault Eagles Club. This seemed to work much better; it was warm and dry, they had plenty of seating room for the teams and lots of room to display the silent auction items and a nice stage for the opening ceremonies of the walk.

This year there's been another change of location. Several of the area community March of Dimes March for Babies groups will be meeting and walking at the Mall of America on Saturday, April 25. Registration starts at 7 a.m., the walk gets underway at 8 a.m. You can join an existing team or start your own. For more information call (507) 282-0649.
