I read this story last week & there was a follow up story this week. If you missed it, here it is again: A middle-aged Georgia man walked 29 miles on one of the coldest days in decades to pay a $50 fine for an accident that left him without a vehicle. He left his home at one in the morning & it took him 8 hours to walk to the Lilburn courthouse. Several policeman, that were on duty, were so shocked that they called a cab for the man & paid for his ride home. This story went viral and it was revealed this week that the gentleman, Ray Norman, who lives in a shelter had his determination rewarded by investment company CEO Joel Shapiro. Shapiro gave him $3,000, one hundred dollars for every mile he walked, saying "Anybody who had that much integrity, I had to help him."
