Walk MS in Faribault is only about a month and a half away on Saturday, May 2. I say   "only" because before you know it, that day will be here. Now is the time to get a team together and sign up at www.WalkMS.org.You could get a bunch of people you work with together, or maybe some family members or friends or a combination of all of them.

Power 96 will be there broadcasting live and cranking up the tunes for the walk inside the nice and comfortable Dane Family Field House at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault. This will be my eighth year participating in this wonderful event that benefits people living with multiple sclerosis through research and service programs. I really enjoy being a part of Walk MS each year, it gives me the chance to meet new people and reconnect with others that I haven't seen in a year.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society website describes multiple sclerosis, or MS, as "an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.

"The cause of MS is still unknown – scientists believe the disease is triggered by as-yet-unidentified environmental factor(s) in a person who is genetically predisposed to respond."
