Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One came from Canadian rockers, the Pat Travers Band. I tracked the title track from their 1980 album, Crash and Burn. Singles like "Crash and Burn," "Snortin' Whiskey" and "(Your Love) Can't Be Right" along with the Albert King cover "Born Under a Bad Sign" helped make this the bands highest charting release, climbing to No. 20 on the U.S. Billboard album chart.

Fans of Pat Travers are known as Hammer Heads. The band has gone through it's usual change of line-ups over the years and has racked up over three dozen albums including two releases this year, Retro Rocket and Feelin' Right ( The Polydor Albums 1975-1984 Remastered). You might remember that in May I featured "Hellbound Train" from Retro Rocket.

Check out, at today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on 7th Street in Faribault, at 4:35PM. Today's Cool One features a band out of Minneapolis.
