Last Friday I featured AC/DC's "Rock 'n' Roll Damnation" from their fourth international studio release, Powerage, as the Power 96 Cool One. The single didn't even get on the charts in the U.S., only managed to get to No. 83 on the Kent Music Report in their homeland of Australia, but performed better on the UK charts coming in at No. 24. The album did crack the charts in the U.S. at No. 133 on the Billboard 200. It charted at No. 23 in the UK and No. 22 on the Aria chart in Australia.

Released in May 1978 this was the bands fifth album released in Australia and the first album to feature bassist Cliff Williams. Due to tensions between Angus and Malcom Young, their former bassist, Mark Evans had been fired about a year earlier in May 1977. A couple of my other favorite tracks from this album include "Sin City" and the bluesy "Down Payment Blues."

Please take time to join me at 4:35 this afternoon for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault, on Power 96.
