On Thursday I featured an artist on the Power 96 Cool One who, since his first hit in 1973, has gone on to become the sixth best-selling recording artist and third best-selling solo artist in the United States. That artist's name is Billy Joel. The Cool One, "A Matter of Trust," topped out at No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart and No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it comes from his 10th studio album, The Bridge, and was released on July 29, 1986. The album went to No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

I chose "A Matter of Trust" because of its hard rock attitude, which is out of the usual character for Joel. The electric guitar is the prominent instrument on this track instead of Joel's piano and was the second top-10 single from the album.

This afternoon's Randolph vs. Kenyon/Wanamingo softball game has an early 4:30PM start with a pregame at 4:15PM, so today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts, has been moved to 3:35PM.
