Last Friday, I spotlighted Eric Clapton's "No Alibis" as the Power 96 Cool One. It came from his 11th studio album, Journeyman, that he released in November 1989. The album went to No. 16 on the U.S. Billboard 200 while the single peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Other singles from Journeyman include "Bad Love," which scored Clapton a Best Male Rock Vocal Performance Grammy Award in 1990 after topping out at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. "Pretending" also climbed to No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, "Before You Accuse Me" came in at No. 9 and, a song I honestly couldn't recall, "Run So Far" made it to No. 40.

Please check out the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault or online at KellysAutoSalvage.com. This afternoon's Cool One, at 4:35PM, features an artist often referred to as the "Godfather of Goth."
