This is probably going to upset some people: I like Metallica but I love Megadeth, which is why I chose to crank it up a notch on Friday's Power 96 Cool One and feature Dave Mustaine and crew and their recent single, "Dystopia." It also happens to be the title track from their new album, which was released a little more than three weeks ago on January 22. This is their first album since Super Collider, which came out in 2013, and it charted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The Cool One debuted at No. 37 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Song chart.

My favorite Megadeth album is a toss-up because I really like the first album I ever heard from them, Peace Sells... but Who's Buying. There's not a bad tune on that CD, especially "Wake Up Dead," "The Conjuring" and what is essentially the title track. I also really like Rust in Peace, which is also filled with some great headbanging tracks. Whenever I have a long distance to drive, these are a couple of the CDs I listen to; they tend to help get me there a little quicker.

For this afternoon's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts, we travel back to the early '70s. Tune in at 4:35PM to find out what today's Cool One is.
