Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One was from Scottish band Nazareth from their third studio album Razamanaz which was also their first album to hit the charts coming in at No. 11 in the UK, No. 39 in Canada and No. 157 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The featured Cool One, "Broken Down Angel," didn't chart in the U.S. but it spent eleven weeks on the UK charts and reached No. 9 in 1973.

Roger Glover, better known as the bassist for Deep Purple and Rainbow, served as the producer, bass guitar and percussion on the album.

Though the band line-up has changed throughout the years they still continue to record and tour to this day with original bass player, Pete Agnew. Original lead singer Dan McCafferty retired from the band in 2013 due to poor health.

Today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault, features a track from "The Godfather of Shock Rock." Make sure you're listening at 4:35 to find out what song I'll track on Power 96.
