Yesterday I chose "No One Knows" from Queens of the Stone Age as my Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault. Taken from their third studio album, Songs for the Deaf, it was the first single and it did well, coming in at No. 51 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, No. 5 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and scored them a No. 1 spot on the Alternative chart. The album, released in 2002, notched a No. 17 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

The album features guest drummer Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters and formerly of Nirvana. The single "Nobody Knows" was also nominated for a Best Hard Rock Performance at the 2003 Grammy Awards but ended up losing out to the Foo Fighters' single "All My Life."

This afternoon's installment of the Power 96 Cool One features a Los Angeles hard rock band with a Hamburg born front-man. Make sure you're listening at 4:35PM to find out who it is.
