Tuesday's Power 96 Cool One was the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies' " Shakin' the Blues" from their self-titled album. Released in 1994, their debut effort came in at No. 40 on the U.S. Billboard Heatseekers chart. The single climbed to No. 9 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart while the other charting single, "Ride the Tide," peaked at No. 20.

This is a band I knew I'd like before I even heard what they sounded like. How could they go wrong with a name like Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies? Each one of the words in their moniker appeals to me. Formed in 1990, this band out of Nashville has a southern rock and boogie style sound and have released three studio albums and three live albums over the years. I recommend them if you like Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Black Crowes or Collective Soul because they echo the sound of all three of these bands if you mixed them together.

Make time today, around 4:35PM, to catch the next Power 96 Cool One brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
