Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One was British rock group Supertramp's " Ain't Nobody But Me" from their fourth studio album, Crisis? What Crisis?, which is a line from the movie The Day of the Jackal. This album was also the first Supertramp album to be partially recorded in the United States, at A & M's Los Angeles recording studios. Released on September 14, 1975, it peaked at No. 44 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 20 on the UK Album Chart. Meanwhile the single, "Ain't Nobody but Me" wasn't able to gain any traction on the charts in the U.S. or their native country but managed to show up at No. 64 on the Canadian Singles Chart.

As I mentioned yesterday, when the band was formed they chose the name Daddy, but decided to change it to avoid confusion with a similarly named band, Daddy Longlegs, taking their new name from the book, The Autobiography of a Super-Tramp by William Henry Davies.

Join me for the next Power 96 Cool One at 4:35PM this afternoon, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
