Tuesday's Power 96 Cool One was Warrant's "I Saw Red" from their second studio effort, Cherry Pie. As the second single from the album it performed well on the charts, topping out at No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 14 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Cherry Pie, released on September 11, 1991, was their best-known and highest-selling record, reaching No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The album also gave Warrant fans the hit singles "Uncle Tom's Cabin," "Sometimes She Cries," "Blind Faith" and the memorable title track, "Cherry Pie," which also scored them a No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The album also contained a cover of Blackfoot's "Train Train" and featured work from artists such as Poison guitarist C.C. Deville and Danger Danger's drummer, Steve West, guitarist, Bruno Ravel, and singer, Fiona.
