Last Friday's Power 96 Cool One came from the Rush album Hemispheres. I featured "Circumstances," a song that, although it was released as a single, failed to chart. The other single from the record, "Trees," also failed to chart. Luckily the album itself charted better, peaking at No. 47 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 14 on their native Canadian Albums Chart.

If you're a big Rush fan, like me, then you've probably watched the documentary Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. The band mentions that recording this album was very stressful and they decided to stay away from the longer, suite-style songs that progressive rock backs are noted for in future albums.

Please join me at 4:35PM this afternoon for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault or online at: kellysautosalvage.com. Today's Cool One comes from an American hard rock band known for their one signature song still played heavily on classic rock stations.
