State Trooper Hurt in Crash That Critically Injured Motorist
Lakeville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A State Trooper was hurt in a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Lakeville.
The State Patrol says 35-year-old Trooper Michael Krukowski of Oakdale was driving south on a road that serves as a frontage road to northbound I-35 when a car traveling at a high-rate of speed on the freeway veered off the roadway and smashed through a fence before crashing into the State Patrol vehicle. The trooper was transported by ambulance to the Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, while the other driver, 29-year-old Wesley Briggs of Lakeville, was airlifted to another hospital with injuries that were described as life-threatening.
