Dan Rathbun's follow up to 'Coconuts and Warheads' in 2011 is called 'Coconuts and Mistletoe'. It had it's world premier at the Paradise Center for the Arts, last weekend and there are 4 more performances this week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7-9 aT 7:30PM and a 2pm matinee Sunday Dec. 10.
He was one of the reasons a boy in North Minneapolis wanted to get into radio. Even though this boy was not as quick witted or as talented as this man. That boy was me. The man was Roger Erickson who passed away yesterday at the age of 89.
It's so hard to believe that it has been 10 years for the Paradise. And they continue to do a great job of bringing great arts and cultural programs to the area.
Actress Charity Jones who has been in many other Guthrie Productions, will play Scrooge in performances on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m., Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 13. According to the Guthrie release she will be playing Scrooge as a male character.
Canterbury Park in Shakopee is transforming into a world of lights from now into October. It's the Lantern Light Festival, a celebration of Chinese Culture. It's going on Thursdays-Sundays. Hours are 6-11pm through October 1, then 5pm-11pm October 5-22.
