17-Year-Old Faribault High Senior Killed In Accident Tuesday
Around 12:45PM on Tuesday a Chevy Cavalier being driven by 17-year-old Isaac Brent Ohlemann of Faribault collided with a Town and Country minivan being driven by Kimberly Lorraine Pirri, 43, of New Market. The accident occurred at Natchez Avenue at 230th Street East.
Ohlemen died as the result of the crash; he was wearing a seat belt. Pirri was transported to Fairview Ridges Hospital with no life-threatening injuries. A 9-year-old passenger in Pirri's vehicle had no injuries.
Scott County and Northfield Ambulance responded to the incident.
According to the Faribault Daily News, Faribault Superintendent Todd Sesker said students or staff who want someone to talk to may stop by any of the schools and meet a counselor or social worker. The schools, which were hosting parent-teacher conferences Wednesday night, planned to have counselors available until 8PM Thursday. The schools will be open from 7:30AM to 4PM.
Anyone needing assistance on Friday should call their child's school, Sesker said, to set up an appointment.
