Numerous Fights Reported At Faribault High School Tuesday Morning
Faribault Superintendent Todd Sesker sent out a recorded call to those subscribed for notification from the school district, indicating that there were several fights that occurred this morning at the high school, resulting in the Faribault Police Department being called.
The message, which you can listen to below, talks about the fights that occurred, what was done about the fights, and that the day was otherwise uninterrupted other than what occurred during the morning between those involved in the fights.
Hi this is Todd Sesker Superintendent of Faribault Public Schools. This morning several fights broke out between students at Faribault High School. Our administration called the Faribault Police Department to help get the situation under control.
Students who were involved were brought into the office, and their parents were called to pick them up. Other than shortening our flex time, the building ran on it's normal class schedule throughout the day.
We are currently investigating today's incidents and will provide more information as soon as it becomes available. We will take appropriate action to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment in our school buildings going forward. Thanks and I hope you have a good day.
In an email from Superintendent Todd Sesker to parents and students that was shared via social media there were 8 individuals that were involved with the altercations, and according to the email "have been appropriately dealt with by local law enforcement and the school district."
