Welcome back to our adoptable animal of the week post. Before we start some great news, we are 3 for 3 in the month of January as all 3 adoptable animals we've featured have been adopted out! This week we look to go 4 for 4 on possible adoptions. Meet Walter the cat!

Walter was brought into the shelter after being found in a snowstorm near Lyle. My friend Michaela is a volunteer at the Mower County Humane Society, where Walter currently calls home, has more on our pet of the week.

Michaela told me that Walter is around 4 to 5 years of age and was found in Lyle, MN after he was brought in by a concerned citizen during a snow storm.

"Walter had been outside for a while as he was very malnourished and had a wound on his back. Even though he had a rough life on the streets it didn’t harden him one bit! Walter is one of the sweetest guys who are so excited about the possibility of a family and forever love." according to Mower County Humane Society volunteer Michaela Tews.

I'm not going to wager to guess, but I would think Walter might be good with other cats since he is at the shelter, but that can be one of the questions you ask after you make an appointment to meet Walter. Make sure you fill out an application for adoption, which you can do here.

Walter can be your new cat for $50 with your approved application. Remember that the money you pay to adopt Walter goes to help the shelter and to help cover the costs of age-appropriate vetting, testing, and alteration.
