The results are in, according to a study done by Wallethub, and Minnesota is THE top State to live in for Minnesota. They looked at different metrics such as;

  •  Median Earnings for Female Workers (Adjusted for Cost of Living)
  •  Unemployment Rate for Women
  •  Share of Women in Poverty
  •  High School Graduation Rate for Women

Out of all of those listed above, Minnesota consistently scored in the top 10. That is something to be proud of. Overall Minnesota leads the pack with the best place to live for women. The top 5 are:

  • Minnesota
  • Massachusetts
  • North Dakota
  • District of Columbia
  • New York

The bottom 5 are:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • South Carolina
  • Mississippi
  • Louisiana

Looking at all of the scores, Minnesota was rated number 1 for Social and Economic Well-being and number 3 for Women's Health and Safety. Our nearest neighbor to score well is North Dakota, also in the top 10, and Iowa is in the top 12.

It's nice to know that Minnesota is such a good place for women to live and work, especially during March, Women's History Month. There are so many opportunities for careers and the graduation rate is quite impressive.
