The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals softball and baseball teams both open their playoff roads in Blooming Prairie this week.  The ladies play Monday and the  gentlemen Wednesday.  The softball team is the #6 seed while the Awesome Blossoms earned the #3 seed.  The top seed on their side of Section 1A is undefeated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown.  The Buccaneers received an opening round bye.

#2 seed Hayfield hosts United South Central.  #4 seed Glenville-Emmons plays #5 Lyle-Pacelli.  Wabasha-Kellogg was the top seed on the other side of the section and plays Schaeffer Academy Monday.  #2 seed Mabel-Canton hosts #7 Southland.  #3 seed Goodhue stays home and plays #6 Houston.  #4 seed Fillmore Central has #5 Rushford-Peterson come to the Falcons field.

Opening round games are 5:00 p.m. Monday.  Winners play at the high seed Tuesday when the double elimination kicks in with games in Wabasha and Austin Thursday, next Tuesday and Thursday.

In Section 1A baseball the Cardinals game at Blooming Prairie is a 4:00 p.m. start Wednesday.  Top seed on that side of the bracket is Hayfield.  The Vikings receive a bye.  The winner of the Bethlehem Academy vs Awesome Blossoms game faces Hayfield in Austin at 10:00 Saturday morning.

#2 seed United South Central hosts #7 Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.  #3 seed Lyle-Pacelli has #6 Glenville-Emmons/Alden-Conger come to Marcusen Park in Austin.

On the other side of the section top seed Southland received a bye.  The Rebels will play the winner of the #4 Schaeffer Academy and #5 Wabasha-Kellogg game.  The first round game is Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.  The next round at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.  #2 seed Spring Grove hosts #7 Mabel-Canton.  #3 Rushford-Peterson faces #6 Houston.
