Did CM Punk Just Show Up At This Wisconsin K O C?

I grew up in the heart of the WWE Attitude era, in the midst of the Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWF. I followed the professional wrestling action religiously and still do from time to time. So this came as a surprise to me when I was scrolling through Twitter over the weekend and saw that former WWE superstar CM Punk might have jumped into the independent ring Friday night at a Knights of Columbus in West Allis Wisconsin. 

I have to admit, the masked invader didn't really move like the CM Punk I remember, but several people on Twitter stated that the sweatshirt worn by the masked man was the same sweatshirt that CM Punk had on earlier that day.

CM Punk in a 2016 interview on the ESPN radio program Russillo & Kanell, promoting his upcoming match at UFC 203 against Mickey Gall, told Peter Rosenberg when asked about stepping into a professional wrestling ring again, "No, I don't think so but it's one of those never say never things, I'd just have to cover up my face."

CM Punk left professional wrestling behind in 2014, the reason behind his leaving is up for debate, but you can read about that in depth here. 

So back to the headline, was it CM Punk at the West Allis, Wisconsin Knights of Columbus or not? Yesterday CM tweeted that he was only talking about Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey, the promoter of the event, Silas Young, seemed to indicate through several tweets that it was really CM Punk. For all of Punk's 'pipe bombs' on RAW, he is eerily silent on this one.
