The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is ready to roll into 2022 with a listing of all their events for the year.

The Faribault Chamber has been serving area businesses since 1913.

One signature event held on a regular basis is Business Before Hours.  The monthly meeting of members is hosted by a Chamber business.  7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Chamber Mixers are a great opportunity to showcase your business, provide tours and host an important chamber networking event.  The host business chooses the date typically in late afternoon.  All Chamber members and guests as well as customers of the host business, friends and family are invited to attend.

A brochure with details is availabe at the Faribault Area Chamber office on Wilson Avenue.  Here are the events listed in the brochure.

  • Flannel Formal is February 5, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.  The event is held in the Craft Beverage curve,  It's become a annual Faribault tradition.  It features cozy flannels, hot dishes and lumberjack games.

The Chamber brochure states, "The 2022 Faribault Flannel Formal is sure to be the can't miss event of the season!"

  • Farm Business Lunch, March 21, 2022, Noon   Chamber brochure description is:

"We pay tribute to our agricultural roots and the importance of agriculture in the economy of our region.  The event will be held on National Ag Day.  We will still recognize all members of the agriculture industry; guests enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring fresh, local foods.  A speaker will provide educational information from the ag industry.

  • Business Awards Lunch is May 12, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.  The brochure states:

"America's progress has been driven by entrepreneurs who think big, take risks and work hard.  From the storefront shops that anchor downtown to high-tech industries, large scale retail and service businesses.  Small businesses are the backbone of our economy.  In the United States, 28 million small businesses create nearly two out of three jobs in our nation's economy; they provide jobs, spur economic growth and support local communities.

  • 2022 Downtown Car Cruise Nights will be May 22, June 17, July 15, August 12, August 19, September 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Held on the third Friday of each month May through September these events consistently draw a crowd.  There are food vendors, A DeeJay provides music, prizes and awards at each event.  At the end of the summer there is a Car Club Showdown with one club winning a "ridiculously huge trophy."

  • Pars and Stripes Golf Tournament is July 8, 2022 at Noon

"Dress to impress with red, white and blue at our Annual Golf Tourney.  An afternoon out of the office is made even better when combined with fellowship and networking with fellow Chamber members!"

  • Blue Collar BBQ Festival runs August 11-14, 2022

"Enjoy ribs made by various people during a taste contest where you vote on your favorite.  A variety of music is also featured from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.  It's loads of fun!

  • TASTE of Faribault is September 15, 2022, 5:30 p.m.

"Tasting and sampling from Faribault area restaurants, caterers, and beverage providers.  Highly attended event that reaches outside the membership.  Widely publicized in surrounding communities."

  • Faribault MainStreet Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off is October1, 2022

"Provides a day of fun and delicious food in downtown Faribault.  Fun for the whole family.  This year will include activities like a mural hunt, story book walk, historic bench walk, walking history tour, business open houses, and of course chili!  Celebrate autumn in beautiful downtown Faribault.  This event draws approximately 400 people each year."

  • Winterfest, December 1-3, 2022

"Get Festive in Faribault!  Enjoy window decorating contest, an ice carver, carolers, horse drawn wagon rides, Santa and reindeer, live music, vintage snowmobile show.  Take in some shopping.  There will be fireworks, a Parade of Lights illuminating downtown".  Bundle up and boogie at the dance.
