On Saturday, April 29, the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism hosted the Faribault Marketplace at the Faribault Ice Arena from 10AM to 5PM. Formerly known as the Business Expo, this event showcased local products and services and jobs and business connections.

The entire ice arena was filled with local businesses showcasing their wares and services. Most of the booths had freebies and chances at winning prizes for the people who visited them. There were demonstrations of their goods available and you could even check out some of the latest vehicles on the market.

I spent a few hours out there in the Power 96/KDHL booth chatting with various people that stopped by as well as the businesses that were around us. We were giving away cookbooks and T-shirts and a chance to win Twins tickets or a Rice County-based board game. If you registered to win, we'll be drawing names on Monday morning.

I hope you were able to stop out there and visit the many different booths and we'll see you next year!
