The Faribault Fire Department are giving Muscular Dystrophy the Boot this afternoon in front of Fareway on Fourth Street in downtown Faribault. Look for the two firetrucks on the corners of the parking lot. Several Faribault Firefighters are greeting customers at the entrance of the store accepting donations for the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. They'll be accepting donations until 6PM today.

According to FillTheBoot.DonorDrive.com, "For 60 years, Fill the Boot has been a fire fighter tradition - giving families affected by muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases hope for the future and support for the present." The first Fill a Boot event started back in 1954 and continues raising money today. "That money is fighting to give kids and adults their every day freedoms back-- the freedom to walk, talk, hug someone you love and even to breathe."

The Faribault Fire Department will be out collecting money again tomorrow between 10AM to 2PM at Walmart.
