Flood Warning Issued for Some Austin Residents
I've probably said it a million times now but it's been raining so much this past week! So much so that some events have had to be canceled (our friends over in Rochester had to cancel a performance tonight!) and some towns have flood watches in effect.
Unfortunately, there is now a flood warning in effect for Austin residents who live along Turtle Creek.
Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger told ABC 6 News that "a water gauge on the West Oakland Avenue Bridge show water levels at 6.4 feet, as of Thursday morning, but that water levels don't start threatening homes until they reach 8.5-9 feet."
So to our listeners who live in Austin: be safe! Hopefully, the rain will subside long enough for the water levels to go down and no one needs to worry about their safety or the safety of their homes.
