- Smokin' In Steele BBQ and Blues Festival! - Smokin' In Steele is back for the summer of 2022, after being canceled the last two years due to the pandemic. This year the music and food are back, which includes some local area food trucks on top of the backyard BBQ, Kids Q, and Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned competition. Food truck vendors, Piggy Blues BBQ, LAKE STATE BBQ, LLC, Grandma's Cookies, Ole and Lena's, and At the Hop concessions, open for business at 11am on both Friday and Saturday, followed by music and nothing but good times. Wristbands are $10, and benefit the Owatonna-area Special Olympics and Let's Smile Inc.
- Morristown's Dam Days Celebration! - Dam Days, other than being fun to say, has activities that actually start today, Wednesday, and really begin to ramp up Friday - Sunday. This year the carnival in town opens at 5pm on Friday followed by the twilight parade at 7pm, Saturday has a car show from 10a-2p, Sunday has a backyard BBQ contest at 1, with townball being played on Sunday too. The full listing of events is can be found on the Dam Days Facebook page, found here.
Reggie's Brewhouse in Owatonna has the Wounded Warrior Project Charity Bike Ride on Saturday! - This year marks the 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior Project Charity Bike Ride. The ride will see all proceeds being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project of America. To participate in this ride you'll need to register at Noon, at Reggie's in Owatonna, with kickstands going up at 1pm. The cost to participate is $15.00 per bike/car and $10.00 per additional rider. On top of the ride, there will be raffles, a beer bash, a silent auction, and food when you return to Reggie's. There will also be music from the Austin Healy band!
