32-year-old Charles Antonio Webster is charged with possession of a firearm as a felon, negligent storage of a firearm in the presence of a child, aiding and abetting third-degree cannabis sales and fifth-degree drug possession.
The court document says law enforcement found a loaded handgun out of its case on a shelf about five feet above the floor during their search of the home.
Authorities also located a loaded handgun magazine, a spent shell casing, a box of ammunition and a Glock BB gun in Webster’s bedroom, the complaint says.
Law enforcement also found more than a pound of cannabis flower on a table in the living room, 1.4 grams of cocaine in the bedroom, more than $16,000 in cash, two working scales and an apparent ledger, the charges say.
Court records indicate Webster has two prior convictions of felon in possession of a firearm. He was also convicted twice of fifth-degree drug possession.
Webster’s bail was set at $500,000 following his first court appearance Monday. He is due back in court later this month.
